new tumblr

So I started a new tumblr for video game things and video game art. I know I don’t post here very often, but I may or may not continue to post here. I made the tumblr it’s own standalone one instead of a secondary one linked to this account because I wanted to be able to keep likes and reblogs seperate and whatnot. So, since I have to log in and out I may forget to check this one sometimes.

anyway, it’s merlumina.tumblr.com. feel free to follow if you wish! If you like video games, particularly zelda and mario, it may be to your liking.

this guy from my high school, two years ahead of me, was in my first year Latin class, goes to the same uni as me but we never speak (said hi to him the 3 times I’ve seen him), just asked me to have a drink with him.

There’s so much wtf going on here. For one, about a year ago he was dating one of my semi-good high school friends (but again, we rarely talk nowadays). Second, I have been considering asking out one of her other exes for some time now. Awkward!

There’s this part of me that is vaguely scared he noticed my new haircut, thinks I’m a lesbian, and wants to do something about it. He was a nice enough dude in HS, but he was an uber frat guy in college (he used to be crazy skinny and now he has no chin), and is always talking about sports and republican politics. We haven’t talked in forever so I don’t really know what reason he has for talking with me. But I’m socially awkward and paranoid so I don’t know why anyone who isn’t a nerd would want to talk to me.

I’m going to go, but…I’m going to be cautious I think.

Don’t get me wrong I love the first pic, it was cute and adorbs and everything, but my hair was so damaged and sad and pathetic and I needed to put it out of its misery. It was a mercy kill.

Oh man I paid way too much money for that haircut but it was SO WORTH IT.

practice figure drawing!

well, I don’t really want to, but I need to. I follow too many awesome artists on tumblr, it makes me sad that I basically forgot how to draw. I want to draw again. why don’t I love it as much as I used to?

oh yeah, because I sucked at it. and every time I TRY to practice, I am overwhelmed by the soul-crushing feeling of how absolutely terrible I am.

but I guess I have to deal with having my soul crushed until I can emerge victorious, a better artist.
